IT Workplace Technology Project Manager (The Boston Consulting
Group, Inc. - Los Angeles, California): Responsible for leading global delivery of workplace technology projects for
office builds, relocations, and expansions. Specific duties include: serve as the primary point of contact for
technology planning; manage vendor coordination for assigned workplace technology projects; communicate project
status, scope, risk, and deliverable timelines to business clients and all stakeholders; gather accurate and
complete business requirements through collaboration with key stakeholders; perform risk management and create cost
estimates, milestones, and resource requirements to drive the successful completion of each project; actively
maintain knowledge of current workplace technology trends by communicating with industry contacts; perform benchmarking to
enhance understanding of various technologies; monitor costs, milestones and resources used, and take necessary
action where these deviate from agreed tolerances; and act as an important catalyst and discussion
partner with respect to broader BCG IT architecture topics, such as contracting and vendor negotiations on a global
level. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer
Science, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience
managing information technology transformation and integration projects in a business setting. Specific
skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements
not applicable to this section) - must possess the following: (i)
managing all aspects of workplace technology infrastructure, including communications room, premise cabling,
connectivity, and LAN/WAN/WLAN; (ii) performing vendor selection and vendor management; (iii) developing
technical solutions and applying them to operational problems; (iv) using project management methodologies including
risk management and cost management; (v) analyzing and identifying IT and computer systems architecture
needs; (vi) creating cost estimates, milestones, and resource requirements for workplace technology projects and
ensuring they stay within budget; (vii) collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive successful
delivery of projects; and (viii) effectively managing multiple global projects independently. Domestic/international
travel (up to 40%) required based on company/client need. Multiple positions available. Must have unrestricted
