Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an
elementary school in Irvine, CA, specializing in supporting
students with moderate to profound disabilities within the
CONNECTIONS program. This role requires expertise in augmentative
and alternative communication (AAC) devices, including their
programming and customization, to effectively serve the diverse
needs of a unique student population. Key Responsibilities: Provide
direct speech-language therapy to elementary students utilizing AAC
devices. Assess, design, and implement individualized treatment
plans. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of SLPs
and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). Program and
maintain various AAC devices to optimize communication access for
students. Document progress and communicate effectively with
educators and families. Qualifications and Experience: Valid
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and California education
credential. Proven proficiency and hands-on experience with a
variety of AAC devices, including programming. Previous experience
working in school settings, preferably with moderate to profound
student populations. Strong collaborative skills to work within an
interdisciplinary team. Ability to maintain accurate records and
provide detailed reporting. Location: Irvine, California On-site
position at a well-established elementary school serving a large
special education program. Contract Details: Position type:
Contract, backfill role. Duration: ASAP through June 5, 2026. Work
hours: 35 hours per week. This is a unique opportunity to
