About our location
Grace Point Fellowship is strategically located at 34784 Yucaipa Blvd. in the beautiful rolling hills of Southern California. We are in the recently revised uptown, just down the street from the state-of-the-art Yucaipa Performing Arts Center. The city of Yucaipa is just 10 minutes from Oak Glen, famous for apple picking, baked goods, hiking, and family fun. We are 45 minutes west of Palm Springs, 1 hour and 15 minutes from beaches, and about an hour from Disneyland.

Children's Ministry Director Job Description
Qualifications

• 
  
• Mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  
• Passion for children's ministry and reaching kids for Jesus
  
• Positive attitude that exudes warmth to parents and kids; actively encourages volunteers
  
• Responsible and timely
  
• Effective volunteer recruiter and delegator; team player and team builder
  
• High-level communicator, both publicly and interpersonally
  
• Fosters open and consistent communication with the team (verbal, email, text, etc.)
  
• Adaptable and flexible, accommodating phone calls after hours and on weekends
  
• Supports the vision and beliefs of Grace Point
  
• Conservative view on theology, marriage, and the right to life
  
• Supports a church vision to engage culture in the public square and political spheres
  
• Prefer at least 3 years of experience in directing children's ministry or similar
  
• Prefer proficiency in Kids Ministry software (Planning Center) or similar
  
• Supportive spouse and family, if married
  
  Responsibilities
  
  • 
    
  • Oversee and develop all aspects of children's ministry for ages infant through 5th grade
    
  • Ensure ministry spaces are engaging and irresistible
    
  • Promote children's ministry via signage and social media
    
  • Select, adjust, and implement curriculum with pastor's approval
    
  • Recruit and lead volunteers and leaders for Sunday and Wednesday programs
    
  • Teach classes as needed and cover for absent teachers
    
  • Encourage and shepherd the children's ministry team and co-op leadership
    
  • Ensure background checks and compliance with state guidelines for volunteers
    
  • Coordinate with facilities team for a safe environment
    
  • Arrange paid babysitting for events and outreach
    
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures manual
    
  • Manage check-in stations and equipment
    
  • Participate in staff and church-wide meetings
    
  • Develop and oversee the children's ministry budget
    
  • Participate in outreach events and oversee summer VBS team
    
    Reports to: The Lead Pastor, with weekly check-ins with the Admin team and staff meetings.
    Pay: Full-time, based on experience.

    Hours: Between 32-40 hours per week.
