Job Description Emergency Veterinarian (DVM) – Maternity Cover Insight Veterinary Wellness Center | Northern California Deliver Exceptional Emergency Care — With a Team That Has Your Back Insight Veterinary Wellness Center is seeking an experienced Emergency DVM to join our hospital on a maternity cover basis to work nights (Tuesday /Wednesday /Thursday 8pm-8am )This is an outstanding opportunity to practice high-quality emergency and critical care medicine in a well-equipped, community-focused hospital with a collaborative and supportive culture. Your Role As an Emergency DVM, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding care to urgent and critical patients while providing reassurance and clarity to pet owners during stressful moments. Clinical Responsibilities Emergency consultations (outpatient and inpatient) Critical and emergency care management Diagnostic workups and treatment planning Surgical and procedural interventions Inpatient case management and continuity of care Clear and compassionate client communication Typical Caseload 4–8 outpatient ER consultations per shift 2–8 inpatient cases under your care Clinical Focus Areas Small animal emergency medicine Critical care Soft tissue and emergency surgery Advanced diagnostics You’ll be supported by experienced RVTs, veterinary assistants, and a cohesive nursing team — ensuring you can focus on medicine while maintaining excellent patient flow and care standards. About You You’re a confident, capable clinician who remains calm under pressure and values collaboration.
