Roles & Responsibilities Provide clinical pharmacy services in an outpatient oncology infusion setting to optimize patient outcomes Perform clinical dosing, including pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring, to ensure safe and effective therapy Review and verify chemotherapy and supportive care medication orders for accuracy and safety Prepare and oversee sterile compounding of IV medications, maintaining strict aseptic technique and safety standards Administer and monitor IV piggyback and IV push medications, watching for efficacy and adverse effects Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care plans Use Epic EMR for order verification, documentation, and medication management to maintain accurate patient records Ensure compliance with oncology safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff Educate patients on oncology therapies and adverse effect management to empower informed care decisions Qualifications Active Pharmacist license in California required or ability to obtain prior to start Demonstrated recent experience in oncology clinical infusion practice Experience with sterile compounding and IV medication preparation Proficiency with Epic EMR for order verification and documentation Strong collaboration and communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork Preferred: training or familiarity with pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred; equivalent pharmacy degree considered Knowledge & Skills Clinical oncology pharmacy practices and outpatient infusion workflows Pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring Sterile compounding standards and safe handling of chemotherapy IV medication administration and monitoring (IV piggyback, IV push) Epic EMR for medication management and documentation Patient education and adverse effect counseling Interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical decision-making Benefits Generous housing stipend and comfortable housing options while on assignment Medical, Dental & Vision coverage to keep you and your family healthy 401K retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future Life Insurance to provide peace of mind Paid Time Off so you can recharge between meaningful assignments Travel reimbursement and support to make your move seamless Licensure assistance & reimbursement to help you get credentialed quickly Referral bonus program — share the love, earn rewards A collaborative, supportive team that truly values your expertise and well-being Travel Perks: Explore Los Angeles, California Los Angeles is your playground while on assignment — soak up Pacific beaches like Santa Monica and Venice, hike Griffith Park and Runyon Canyon for skyline views, explore world-class museums including the Getty Center and LACMA, catch a show in Hollywood or downtown LA, discover diverse dining scenes and farmers markets, and enjoy weekend escapes to nearby Orange County beaches or Malibu.
