Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing
high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley,
Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. With the recent
addition of the Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184
licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient
surgery, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart
attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. The Center for
Wound Care provides treatment for people with chronic non-healing
wounds. This comprehensive wound-healing service includes
hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Palmdale Regional Medical Center is
active in the community and regularly participates with the
Antelope Valley Board of Trade, Greater Antelope Valley Economic
Alliance, Chambers of Commerce and other civic and governmental
groups. Palmdale Regional Medical Center believes in "Community

Essential Job Duties:
The Director of Engineering/Plan Ops plans, organizes, directs,
coordinates and controls the operations of the Maintenance,
Security, and Grounds departments. Complete all duties and
functions of the hospital Safety Officer. Maintain compliance with
applicable regulatory agency requirements, including; The Joint
Commisssion (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
(CMS), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), State and Local
Agencies, The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA),
etc. Manage staff and contractors to adequately ensure and maintain
the efficient and safe operation of all hospital buildings. Plans,
predicts, maintains and repair building and equipment. Utilize
energy management and tracking tools in order to maintain efficient
utility operatons. Develop and manage operating and capital
budgets. Manage the Clinical Engineering, Safety and Security
- Obtain Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited University
within 18 months from date of hire.
- Master's degree from an accredited College or University in
related field preferred.
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience in Hospital
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience in related field
required, acute care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, Joint Commission and CMS
standards, OSHA, EPA and state and local codes and standards.
- Experience or working knowledge in all aspects of building
trades, including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical,

- Licensed Engineer required.
- Current Certified Healthcare Facility Manager Certification
required or has the ability to obtain within 18 months of
- Valid California Driver's License.
- CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
